Which fits you?

Start with your
next useful task.

Consider Char if you plan your day in a notepad and want tasks to complete from it. Consider Tallis if you delegate by messaging and want the work to continue when the notepad is closed. Try each for a week of real to-dos before deciding.

This is our assessment of fit. We have not run a head-to-head performance or reliability test.

Try this before deciding

A useful test beats
a feature count.

Suggested evaluation steps, not a test we have performed.

  1. Write three checkboxes and see which get done and how you are asked.
  2. Close the app for a day and check what progressed.
  3. Ask what it kept about the tasks.

Before you choose

Questions worth asking.

Where should the yes live?

Anywhere you will actually see it. Char puts it next to the checkbox; Tallis puts it in the chat you already read, with a preview before and a receipt after. The surface matters less than whether the yes is exact about what will happen. [1]

How current is this comparison?

We checked the cited material on 2026-09-10. Prices, availability and features may change. Confirm the terms and the exact workflow with the provider before committing.

Tallis’s planned offer

Tallis is being built for a solo founder or operator: private ongoing context, included model access, recurring research, and controlled actions in connected accounts. Telegram and a web chat are the launch channels. Preview requires an exact preview and approval. Guardrails and Autopilot use the permissions you set; every mode retains pause and records of outcomes.

Access is currently by waitlist. These launch intentions are not a claim that every workflow is available today. Shared teams, an app-builder marketplace and unrestricted purchases are outside the initial offer. See Tallis.
